Charges of drunk driving, assault leveled against Oklahoma man

Most people have found themselves in situations that seem to go from bad to worse. In cases where individuals are accused of a crime, this type of predicament could easily get worse depending on how the issues are handled. Unfortunately, when people are accused of drunk driving, they may end up facing additional charges as well.

It was recently reported that one man in Oklahoma is currently facing multiple charges after being approached by an officer. Apparently, authorities received a call about a driver passed out inside a parked but running vehicle. The officer approached the car and attempted to get the driver to open the door. However, the driver repeatedly rolled the window up and down before the officer broke the window. The deputy then reached in the vehicle in an attempt to cut the engine, and the driver attempted to drive away.

These actions resulted in the officer being dragged approximately 20 feet. The driver then allegedly attempted to flee, but he was apprehended. He was taken into custody on multiple charges, including DUI and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was reported as being 22 years old.

While the incident involving this Oklahoma man did seem to get worse, his case does not have to follow the same trajectory. The manner in which he chooses to address his case could immensely impact its outcomes. If he gains information regarding his criminal defense options and makes an effort to create a meaningful presentation, he may be able to effectively combat the drunk driving charges.
